According to highly placed sources the renowned actress Shruthi will occupy the position of head of Cinema Academy that the government of Karnataka is starting very soon.

The demand of Cinema Academy like other academies has been the long time demand of Kannada filmdom. The reason why actress Shruthi of over 100 films and many accolades in acting would be given the seat of power is obvious. Actress Shruthi missed the nomination for MLC in the last time from Bharatiya Janata Party. Her husband ace director S.Mahender was a contestant on BJP ticket in the last assembly from Kollegal constituency. The star couple took massive campaigning for the BJP in the last by election to the state.
